Paper Plane Hostel provides a young and hip place to stay in the city of Kuala Lumpur. Refurbished and rebuilt from a 100-year-old colonial house, the interior of the hostel is decorated with wall paintings by artists so every corner has a story to tell.
Choose to sleep away in one of the six dormitory rooms or four private rooms; chill out at the glasshouse lobby and rooftop garden, we’ll make sure that you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Apart from providing bunk beds and rooms to Stay, we are also working to introduce more so stay tuned from Paper Plane Hostel.
“Friendly staff and good value for money”
The hostel is such a charming home with a nice location. It’s near good cafes and less than 5min walk away from the night market. Also I love the little touches like how there are even cotton buds and floss provided in the bathroom sink. Moreover, lotion, sunscreen, and insect repellent are in the reception. There are also free coffee/tea and biscuits that I happily munch on in mornings. The restroom is shared but the walls are high enough for privacy. They regularly clean it, refill the soap and shampoo, and change the toilet paper. I also love that the staff helped me finalize and organize my kl itinerary and gave me tips. The rooms are also very clean and there are already curtains in the bed for privacy. Overall it’s a perfect place for solo travelers.
“Great hostel ever!”
I’ve been lots of countries and stayed a lot of hotel, hostel and guest house. But I guarantee that this is the best. The host(Mika) and staffs are so friendly and helpful. The room, bathroom, rooftop, front room are so clean and nice. Literally they have every thing such as hot shower, washer and dryer(10-20RM), drinks, water purifier, mini shelf and socket in each bed, bodywash and shampoo, towels. So economic and great hostel!
Have stayed in many hostels all over the world and were thoroughly impressed with this hostel. It is safe and clean & has a hipster vibe. You can tell that the manager (Mika) really cares about your experience. She includes many extras that make your stay comfortable (facilitating ride share to airport, filling your water bottle, storing luggage, shower after you check out but before you head to the airport, and an AMAZING customized map of the area giving places to eat, visit, and much more.
Staff were nice and kind, hotel was clean and the beds were comfy, and there was even a towel included along with well-stocked shampoo and body wash in the showers. And the cats were so cute! I honestly can’t think of anything bad to say about this hostel.
“The place to go to feel like home (but actually better than home!!)”
I had he most wonderful time at Paper Planes. The hostel just seem brand new, the beds are soo comfy, and everything is amazingly clean! It is located sooooo close to all the best places to eat/party/shop/visit and YET it’s in a very quiet area, like a small paradise hanging above crazy KL. The staff is amazingly nice and helpful but not in a « staff » way, really more in a family way, being really preoccupied by each’s gets well being and enjoyment. People who stay here are generally solo travelers so yes it’s not a party hostel but you can still meet very nice people and grab a drink on the wonderful outdoor or indoor common area. Thank you Paper Plane for having been the most amazing place of my 2 months trip in Asia !
